Program Educational Objectives

  1. Produce engineers who have critical thinking skills to identify opportunities, solve problems, and make decisions in the presence of uncertainty and economic considerations.

  2. Produce engineers who are effective communicators.  They must have an ability to convey and acquire technical ideas, information, and recommendations to and from peers, employers and the public.

  3. Produce engineers who can use and apply basic petroleum and design principles.  They must have been exposed to existing and emerging technologies and have the ability to pursue life long learning.

  4. Produce engineers who uphold high professional ethics and who have a commitment to public health, safety and the environment.
